The finals on the weekend of 10th / 11th September saw a high standard of tennis across all the Junior age ranges and the Seniors. We had a pentuple winner – yes, I know that is probably a made-up word but I haven’t needed the word for a winner in 5 categories before! Peter Grant won the Mens Singles, the Mens Doubles with Stuart Lamb, the Mens Vets doubles with David Pharo and both the Mixed and Vets Mixed Doubles with Jane Vincent … and it that wasn’t enough, he was the runner-up in the Vets Singles. Well done Peter!
The Jones brothers also had a very successful weekend in the Junior events. William won the U14 Singles, the U14 and U18 Doubles with Michael Presland and the U18 Mixed Doubles with Isabelle Barfoot. Matthew Jones was the runner-up in the U18 Singles, the U18 Doubles with Ethan Butler and the U18 Mixed Doubles with Tilly Tfoti.

Many thanks to Zana Fletcher for all the work she put into organising the events and to the umpires, refreshment teams and all the spectators who made it such an entertaining event (despite the rain on Saturday)
