The Bank Holiday on Monday May 31st was our first American Tournament for nearly 18 months. After a miserable May for weather (and for other reasons!), we were blessed with a sunny day, perhaps a bit too hot for the players. We did have to make a few changes to ensure we were Covid-secure, in particular we asked players to pre-register. What didn’t change was the friendly atmosphere, good standard of play and of course the tea. Thank you Debra! Cath Pearson and Linda Robson were joint 1st for the ladies. The result for the mens was very close, with Andy McElligott ending on an average score of 5.40 games in each round with newcomer Alistair Jones on 5.33.
