Thank you, Dave!

Have you ever wondered how it is that there are always tennis balls available when you come down to play? Probably not, you (like me!) just take it for granted that they will be there. But it doesn’t just happen, someone has to do it and that person is Dave Adams.
Dave has been doing this chore for over 30 years, coming down to the clubhouse first thing most mornings to check the tennis balls, replacing as necessary. He also ensures that the 13 team captains have the tubes of balls they need for their matches. He even stores old balls and tries to sell them on to make a small income for the club. In a typical year, he will deal with over 2,500 balls!
For all this dedication and for his time on the club committee in a range of roles, he was made an honorary life member of the club at the recent AGM. The decision to award this was unanimous!
