Avondale was delighted to host a charity event run by Chris Fry raising money for the Dylan Rich Legacy Fund. Dylan was just 17 when he died of a cardiac arrest a year or so ago; Chris was his godfather.
We were even more delighted that Tim Henman has agreed to attend for part of the afternoon. He couldn’t have been more pleasant: rallying with our Junior players, smiling for numerous photographs and signing tennis balls. It was hard to tell at some points who was more excited : the juniors or the adults.
One 10-year-old was justifiably proud that he had kept up a rally throughout his time rallying with Tim … and he got an autographed book at the end!
